STEMcircle-LGNS minicircle DNA contains four factors capable of reprogramming somatic cells: LIN28, NANOG, SOX2 and OCT4 as well as a green fluorescent protein (GFP) reporter gene. This safe and simple method, recently published in Nature Methods,   is nonviral and nonintegrating, resulting in prolonged gene expression and superior reprogramming over that of regular DNA plasmids.
